The wave of protests at airports has been coupled with a federal ruling. In a victory for justice, a judge in the Eastern District of NY has stopped the ban on immigration.
The Executive Order from the White House is halted. Where it goes from here is up to the courts and normal review and hearing process.
For the moment, civil rights have been restored.
