In this season of Advent, we ponder both the gifts we have received from the birth of a baby and the gifts we give to those whom we love in honor of that marvelous event.
In this day of hyper-materialism, many of us want to find an enduring way for the gifts we give to transcend the scarf, the sweater, the blender that preoccupy our shopping lists – the ‘stuff’ that surrounds us all.
You have, by virtue of your interest in our work, made clear that your concerns are more than just material. They are spiritual and moral. You stay with California Council of Churches IMPACT bringing the gift of insight, commitment to justice, and belief in our democracy. That lasts far longer than the last drop of after-shave or perfume ever will.
On this Giving Tuesday we hope one material deed – a donation – will be found worthy. We spend your dollars to do background research on issues that affect everything you do. We gather information to help you make good decisions about issues large and small, to help you reflect on where you want this state and nation and even world to be. We have been doing this with and for you for over a century, and we want to be here to continue this work for many decades to come.
