California Church IMPACT alone and in coalitions worked tirelessly for the passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010. Subsequently, we have worked on California legislation that extends and improves upon that Act to assure Californians comprehensive affordable health care coverage.
We work with our sister organization, the California Council of Churches, to make opportunities for health care public and to advance access through improved legislation as well as education. We tackle major health care issues that lie outside the ACA itself to assure that the state’s health care system operates in the interest of patients and their families.
