{"id":733,"date":"2025-07-01T17:01:23","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T17:01:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/churchimpact.org\/?p=733"},"modified":"2025-07-01T17:01:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T17:01:23","slug":"urgent-call-your-representative-now-to-stop-the-one-big-beautiful-bill-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/churchimpact.org\/index.php\/2025\/07\/01\/urgent-call-your-representative-now-to-stop-the-one-big-beautiful-bill-act\/","title":{"rendered":"URGENT: Call Your Representative NOW to Stop the \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Activists,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senate has just passed the \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act,\u201d and it is now racing toward a vote in the House\u2014<strong>a vote could happen at any moment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need you to&nbsp;<strong>pick up the phone right now<\/strong>&nbsp;and call your Representative to demand they&nbsp;<strong>vote NO<\/strong>&nbsp;on this deeply harmful Budget Reconciliation bill.&nbsp;<strong>Time is critical.<\/strong>&nbsp;Every minute we wait puts more lives at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your Representative is on the fence\u2014or worse, feeling pressure to support this bill\u2014<strong>they need to hear from you immediately.<\/strong>&nbsp;Remind them: their vote on this bill will be remembered, and&nbsp;<strong>they are up for reelection in just 16 months.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This bill directly contradicts the values Christ taught us about compassion, justice, and care for the vulnerable. Urge your congregation, your family, and your community to join you in calling.&nbsp;<strong>Forward this email. Post it. Share it everywhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve already called\u2014<strong>thank you\u2014but we need you to CALL AGAIN.<\/strong>&nbsp;The pressure must be relentless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s why this is urgent:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Senate version is significantly\u00a0<strong>worse<\/strong>\u00a0than the House bill.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>House Members were told issues around Medicaid and SNAP would be fixed in the Senate.
