Mission<\/u><\/strong> California Church IMPACT advocates in the public policy arena for justice, equity, and fairness in the treatment of all people, particularly those who have been abandoned or harmed by our society.  <\/span><\/span>\n

Overview<\/u><\/strong>  California Church IMPACT advocates for major issues of concern in our democracy from health care to all human services concerns;  for human rights affecting all people; for governmental integrity including free and fair elections; for effective strategies to reduce income disparities and  much more.  We mobilize our members to \u2018speak truth to power\u2019, to empower those who wish to be heard, and, where needed, to witness for those who do not have a voice in policies affecting their lives. California Church IMPACT also takes positions on non-artisan ballot measures assessing how they reflect or oppose our faith principles of justice and fairness in our society.<\/p>\n

Description<\/u><\/strong>  California Church IMPACT represents 1.5 million members within  the mainstream, progressive Protestant communities of faith.  Our organizational members include 21 denominations with over 5500 congregations throughout California.<\/p>\n

Issues<\/strong><\/u>  <\/strong>Every legislative year IMPACT takes up a range of bills and issues. Our primary focus is on human services, human rights, and economic justice as well as transparency in our legislative and electoral process.  We collaborate with our faith partners on issues of human rights, economic security, restorative justice, immigrant rights, environmental well being, health care, eradicating poverty, and much more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
